WHAT I THINK IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CROWDED CHURCH ASSEMBLIES, BUT LITTLE CHANGES IS SEEN IN THE SOCIETY. -Part Two.

This second part is tagged: THE ISSUES WITH THE MEMBERS.

I like to draw the attention of every reader of this post to a fact. The fact is that God decided to create things by Himself before He created man, but after the creation of man God expects man to continue from there..

So there was nothing that God did after that, that He did not do through man. I like to tell you that till the end of the age, God will keep working through mortal men filled with His spirit.

The desire of God is partnership and that is what the Church (Ecclesia) needs to maximize to make this world like heaven.

The two points below are what I believe is limiting the influence of Church members in bringing a noticeable change to our contemporary societies, particularly Nigeria.

1. UNCONSCIOUSNESS OF THE POWER WITHIN:

Many people who are baptised in the Holy Ghost are still unsure that they are power carriers as individuals. But Acts 1:8 confirms that we receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon us...
Power is the ability to do work, so it is believers that have power to do "good work" that is required to change the world... Ye are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good work (Eph 2:10).

Know ye not that your body is the temple of God and that the Holy Ghost is in you???
The Apostle asked the fornicating Corinthians Church if they really know that the Spirit of the Lord dwell in them..

We often think about this above Scripture to avoid sin only, particularly fornication. But there is more to that, we need to be conscious of God's ability in us and press more into its manifestation.
In that place of work, business, classrooms, e.t.c, God is interested in making His glory revealed just like He does for His faithful ministers during pulpit ministrations. Everywhere is a mission field for responsible believers.

2. LACK OF CHARACTER:

This second category is where the bulk of the limitation is stored.

Character is more important than anointing and gifting of the Spirit in leadership and influencing a society.

No matter the diverse kind of Tongues we speak, if we lack good character, we cannot influence others for good not to talk of Changing the society for better.

Lemme show you what Character means in this context..according to Myles Munroe.

Character means fixed or predictable or Statute.
The Alphabets are referred to as Characters because they never Change.

It is lack of Character that makes people to be something (good)in the day and another thing (bad) at night.

It is lack of Character that makes people to be deacons in church and still embezzle money in the office. How can we influence others if our way of life negate the nature of Christ?

Its not absence of the Holy Spirit that makes some Christian student to indulge in exam malpractice, it is what? Lack of Character..

Husbands that call pastors' wives mummy and rubbish their wives; wives that kneel to greet pastors but spit on their husbands; unmarried Choir members that return from rehearsal to sleep with each other; people that falsify documents and are perpetually absent from work; makers of fake products, sellers of fake products,..e.t.c who carry church stickers all around are they the ones to bring change?
Or those who accept and pay bribes to get things done, win contracts or elections??

This is a call for understanding of whom we are and what we carry and much more to build good Characters.. It wont be long that Lebanon will become a fruitful vine.
