Perusing my doctrinal notes to revise the doxology of
the last programme, I encountered a heart raising moment when I read
these words "there is nothing the devil has, that God doesn't have
more".
Unconciously, the thought of the physical appearance
envisaged me. As a student of the higher institution and a
socio-concious being, I noticed that the attires worn especially that
of ladies demeans our communal and primeval ethos.
Although, these outfits could look smart and beautiful,
they negate the biblical standard of dressing. Hence, my view of these
clothes on the part of the ladies, is that they are mostly designed
for seductive purposes, owing to the flashy and body revealing ways in
which they are made.
However, I must mention the stigma, inferiority, degrading
and social detachment suffered by christians who have decided to
uplift the banner of biblical and morally upright mode of dressing.
Despite several cajouling nomenclatures
attributed to these ones, I believe the solace of the believer is in
the coming of the lord, going by the process of transformation at the
point of ascension which the scripture records.
Nonetheless, in me arouse an emotive state "pity"
which is ascribed to those who have chosen carnality over eternity.
Knowing that they would be absent at the gathering of the transformed
at the coming of the lord.
"The best of the devil cannot and will never equate to the least of
the almighty God"
